New Music – Hip-Hop King – DJK5th featuring Fatlip of the Pharcyde

DJ K5th of Venture Sound Recordings has recently released a new single featuring the infamous hip-hop emcee Fatlip from the legendary hip-hop group The Pharcyde. The track “Hip-Hop King,” is a collaboration that came to be over a mutual connection and a beat that Fatlip couldn’t resist.

The track is heavily influenced by breakdance-era breaks and drum samples. The uptempo pace of the track can easily start a Beat-Street level crew battle or rock a crowd of virtual party viewers, (hopefully we’ll be in real clubs soon).

DJ K5th, also known as @Skytower_Sktr on his social handle, is no stranger to the hip-hop game. His recent releases are innovative fusions of melodic soul and hip-hop influenced sample techniques. His DJ and production roots date back to the early 90’s and are featured on some of the tracks of pioneer Sacramento hip-hop acts.
